Gift Guide for Foodies

Most people eat to live, but some people also live to eat! We’ve all got that friend (or we are that friend) who carefully documents all their food on their Instagram story. They’re the go-to person for restaurant recommendations and they’ve tried all the trendy foods. The most important meal of the day is all of them, specialty food stores are their Disneyland, and they’re always trying new recipes. These gifts will delight all your foodie friends!

Microwave Bowl Huggers
Microwave your bowls of food in these bowl huggers and don’t worry about burning your hands!

Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings Cookbook and Cravings 2: Hungry For More Cookbook
One of the most influential celebrities on Twitter is Chrissy Teigen, and she also loves cooking for her family.  My roommate got me her second cookbook and while I have yet to cook anything from it, I love to look at the photos.  It also would make a fun coffee table book!

Flavored Extra Virgin Olive Oil Variety Pack
EVOO is basically a superfood, and this 4-pack makes a great gift!  To go the extra mile, get a loaf of your friend’s favorite bread or a baguette to go with! My mom received these as a gift from a friend, and the 8.5oz bottles don’t take up too much room in our cabinets.  My favorite is the truffle one!

Star Baker Apron
Calling all Great British Baking Show fans!  Paul Hollywood may not like your puff pastry, but you’re still a chef in my book.  Might have to get this for my mom who is actually an amazing cook!

Personalized M&Ms
If these aren’t Instagram-worthy, then I don’t know what is.  You can customize a bag of M&M’s on their website by choosing the color, adding texts, and even uploading a photo to be printed on the chocolates! My mom made these for my high school graduation and it was fun to see my face on a red M&M!

Insulated Wicker Picnic Basket
Eating in restaurants might not be ideal this year, but we can still up our lunch game! This picnic basket is on my wish list and I can’t wait to pack some Trader Joe’s goodies and eat on the beach in Malibu.

Grocery List Notepad
This notepad is so fun! It’s magnetic so you can put it on your fridge. This company makes all kinds of fun note pads and post-its, I’ve gotten some silly ones for my internship managers.

Pasta Maker
Pasta is in, banana bread is out! So maybe your friend’s trip to Italy was cancelled this year, but you can still learn to make delicious pasta at home! This works great for spaghetti, fettuccini, lasagna, and more!

Marble Cutting Board
I just bought this for my roommate who loves to cook! This board is functional, yet stylish.  The rubber feet keep the board from sliding around and the marble keeps doughs cool. It also makes a great background for her flatlay photos for her foodstagram.  The board comes in a variety of sizes and can also be used as a charcuterie board.

The Mixology of Astrology book
My friend Katherine was given this and I thought it was so cute! This 224-page hardback book provides several recipes per astrological sign. I don’t even drink, but these cocktails sounded yummy!

Avocado Container
When you only want to use half an avocado, this convenient little container will save the other half.   My friend gave this to me for my birthday one year, and I actually use it all the time!

Milk Frother
Be your own barista with this little electric milk frother! Save yourself $5 from Starbucks and make your own artisanal coffee at home #adulting. This product comes in a variety of colors and is super easy to clean.

Unlabeled: the Blind Beer Tasting Board Game
I don’t drink beer enough to be any good at this game, but I think it would be funny to play with my friends who frequent craft breweries!  Every player brings different beers, covers the label or removes the label, and then everyone tastes it and tries to identify the beer’s characteristics, general beer category, or specific beer type.  You’re bound to stump even your biggest beer snob bestie!

Crockpot
There are so many things you can make in a Crockpot!  My mom uses hers all the time to make ribs, applesauce, and other foods that cook low and slow! This one is 4.5 quarts and can hold enough food for 4 people.
