Give the Gift of Self-Care

We live in a society where you need to “treat yourself” to self-care.  And there’s no time like the holidays to do just that! Treat your friends who need a break from this year, aka all of them.  These products will help them to relax and practice mindfulness in this crazy ~unprecedented~ season of life.

You can shop all of the products by clicking on the titles or product images below.

Aroma Diffuser
Breathe in, breathe out.  I love my aroma diffuser that my friend Katherine gave me! Mine is only 150ml, but I actually wish it was bigger, so I’m recommending a 300ml one that you won’t have to refill as often.  The wood pattern goes with everything and it provides continuous mist for hours!  All you do is fill the cup with water, add some oil, put the top on, plug it in and you’re good to go.  Definitely get a starter pack of essential oils to go with! My favorite is the eucalyptus.

Customized Shampoo and Conditioner
Customize your shampoo and conditioner like you customize your Chipotle burrito.  With Prose, you take a lengthy survey about your hair, and then it will create a special formula just for you! You can get it with or without fragrance. You may have seen another company, Function of Beauty, on Instagram, but I’m featuring Prose because it is a certified B-corporation, meaning it meets social and environmental standards. Prose is on track to be carbon-neutral by the end of this year, and it’s transparent about its ingredients and employee diversity, read more here.  I’m definitely gifting this to the gals in my life.

Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies
Apple cider vinegar may help improve digestion, boost your energy, and clear up your skin.  I usually mix ACV with room temperature water and drink it when I have a sore throat. I don’t actually mind the sour flavor too much, but a gummy version sounds like an easier and more delicious way to get a daily dose! These Goli gummies are made from 17 easily-prounounced ingredients and don’t include yeast, eggs, gluten, dairy, gelatin, shellfish, or other common allergens.

Jade Roller
This jade roller will relieve the tension and help with puffy skin in the morning. I’ve never really gotten headaches until this year (just 2020 things), so I want to try using one of these to massage the muscles in my face.

Himalayan Salt Lamp Night Light
Full-size salt lamps are just too big in my opinion, and this mighty little night light does the job, releasing negative ions and absorbing dust and particles in the air.  The orange glow relieves eye strain. I really want two for my apartment hallway and bathroom!

Think Like a Monk by Jay Shetty
I don’t know who Jay Shetty is, I just love a good self-help book.  According to Google, he’s a British Indian author and former monk who is now a social media and podcast star. A bunch of people I follow on Instagram have read this, and I’m curious to know how he encourages people to find purpose and lead a less anxious life.

Dry Brush
I just heard about dry brushing, and it sounds interesting.  Apparently, it exfoliates your skin, improves lymphatic circulation, and reduces cellulite. This kit comes with a long handle body brush, a face brush, and an anti-cellulite massager.

Cold-Pressed Juices
Cold-pressed juices are full of nutrients that can help your digestive system and boost your immune system.  Pressed Juicery offers a variety of vegan juices made from fruits and vegetables and other all-natural ingredients without preservatives or added sugar.  I’m also a fan of their almond milk drinks.

Wall Tapestry
My sister got me a massive tapestry one that fills up an entire wall in my bedroom, and it actually relieved a lot of decorating stress.  This is a fun and easy way to upgrade any room and make a creative and inspiring space. Urban Outfitters has a huge selection with different colors, sizes, and styles.

Bathtub Tray Caddy
I haven’t taken a bath in years, but if I had this tray, I might! This bath tray will hold all the things you need to relax, a glass of wine, chocolates, even your iPad to watch your favorite show.  This one is made from bamboo and expands to fit all bathtub sizes from 29.4 inches to 44.2 inches.

Buddha Board
I love playing with these any time I see them in a store. It’s mesmerizing to watch the brush strokes dry and disappear before your eyes!  This is on my list of gifts to give to others and on my own Amazon wish list.
