Products I Use All The Time & My 2022 Prime Day Wish List

Prime Day 2022 is here! It’s two days, from July 12-13, so there’s plenty of time to shop! Inflation is rough and boy do I feel it at the gas station and grocery store, so I’m always looking for a sale! Last year, I bought a lot (see my Prime Day 2021 Haul here) since I had a lot of gift cards, but this year, there are a lot fewer things on my list. If you’re looking for something to buy on Prime Day, here are a bunch of products I use daily or weekly that I would absolutely recommend! I’m not sure if they’ll go on sale, but you can also see all of my favorite products on the My Favorites page under the SHOP tab on my blog!

I love the silicone Stasher bags that I bought during Black Friday! You can truly use them in so many ways, you can check out their Instagram for examples. I use a small one as an ice pack. I just fill it with water and stick it in the freezer and that’s worked very well for me. They’re dishwasher and microwave safe and a great way to save plastic. The ones that stand up on their own would be great for storing things in the fridge.

I had previously purchased a turquoise ring on Etsy and it was always a little too big, and at some point, it fell off my finger this spring, so I got this sterling silver turquoise ring on Amazon in size 5.5. I’ve had it for about a month now and never take it off, and there’s no discoloration/tarnishing so far.

My hair gets pretty dry, so I bought this hydrating conditioner a month ago and use it a couple of times every week and I can actually tell the difference, which never happened with regular conditioner! When my hair dries, it’s a lot less frizzy, and it actually looks kind of glossy! Also this stuff smells like a tropical paradise, I’m OBSESSED.

Also in my quest to reduce my plastic use, I bought these reusable cotton mesh produce bags when I moved back to LA, and they have saved so many plastic bags!! All my produce, like apples, bell peppers, cucumbers, and broccoli all go into these mesh bags. The cashiers at Sprouts and Trader Joe’s comment how cool they are all the time, and I think they’re being genuine even though they’re paid to be nice to me.

I’ve also reduced plastic in the bathroom by buying shampoo bars and using bars of soap for body wash and face wash in the shower. I put all the bars and my razor on these silicone soap dishes which are curved and drain on their own! They’re super easy to clean, and I know I’ll be using these forever.

One of my friends had a muscle roller stick for ballet in middle school, and so I’ve had one of these as long as I can remember.  My legs get sore from half marathon training, so this always feels good.

I really struggle to open cans of food with manual can openers. I blame it on my left-handedness. My friend got me a Cuisinart electric can opener for Christmas in college and I use it all the time!! If you’re wondering, I use a lot of canned beans for chili and salads.

I struggled to find a good little day pack that fits my camera in it. I ordered several black backpacks before finding this little nylon backpack on Amazon. It has one big zippered compartment, a second zippered pocket, then a front pouch. It also has elastic side pockets for water bottles on each side, as well as tiny pocket on the top flap. It also comes in purple and blue.

I have 32oz Hydroflasks, but they’re too big for every day use. This small 12oz stainless steel water bottle fits in the backpack above, and is perfect to bring in the car when I’m just out running errands. I also just use it every day while working because it makes me stand up to go refill it every other hour, so it helps me take a break from my desk.

Since I’m working from home most days, I bought this mouse pad with wrist support. I’ve never had any wrist pain or carpal tunnel, so I’m calling this a win.

If y’all follow me on Instagram @livelybylaura, y’all know that I’ve started to wear ear plugs to bed so I don’t wake up at 5:30am when my roommate is walking around our apartment getting ready for work, or when my roommates come back at 4am from a bar. I’ve tried several different brands of ear plugs in the past few months, and these are the best reusable silicone ear plugs for small ears. They’re soft and easily moldable, and they block out 22 decibels.

This is my latest Amazon purchase. It’s anti-blister balm for your feet by Body Glide which actually has its headquarters in Bellevue, WA. It’s the size of a travel deodorant, and I was skeptical that it would work, but it really does and I came away from my last 6-mile run blister free!

Atomic Habits by James Clear is one of the best self-help books I’ve ever read and one of my 5-star reads from last year. It has real practical advice and actions you can take to stick to your routines!

My 2022 Prime Day Wish List

Some article on BuzzFeed had said people love these athletic shorts and I love any shorts with pockets, so I wanted to try them. I’ve had a lot of my running shorts since high school, so I’m going to give a few pairs away.

I was searching for packing cubes on Amazon and learned about compression packing cubes. These have two sets of zippers so you can compress your clothing and save a lot of space in your suitcase.

A few influencers I follow posted about The Five Minute Journal during the pandemic. I also listened to a podcast interview with the founder of the company Intelligent Change, so this has been on my list for a while now. I doubt it will go on sale, but I might just get it.

I know I’m late to the game, but I never got a milk frother during the pandemic! My roommate got this one recently and but she’s moving out and I’ll need my own.

My biggest purchase that I’ll make will be 2nd generation AirPods. This shape actually stays in my ears very well, so I don’t need to get the fancy new kind. Since these are pretty expensive, I’ll be shopping around to see if any other stores have better deals.
