TheraBox is a self-care subscription box, and it’s curated by therapists to decrease stress.  I ordered the April TheraBox, which was their 4-year anniversary box! I had been eyeing it for a while, because I’m trying to get better about reducing anxiety, and it seemed like a great value.  Each box contains a happiness activity (journal, book, gratitude cards, etc) and 6-8 products for less than $40, which is a pretty good deal since there are usually several skincare items.

I ordered my TheraBox through Cratejoy.com, the Amazon of subscription boxes. I prefer ordering boxes with Cratejoy because it allows you to order one box at a time instead of having to enroll in a monthly subscription, which means it’s perfect for gifts! I’ve ordered three other boxes as gifts for friends and family before, and I’ve had great experiences every time. Full disclosure, while I am a part of the Cratejoy affiliate program, I have purchased all boxes at the full listed price with my own hard-earned cash.

THERABOX UNBOXING

TheraBoxes ship at the end of each month, so I received the April box on May 1. The box is the size of a shoebox, and they packed a lot of fun stuff in there! This box claimed it would contain over $140 worth of products, and I looked them all up online, and it’s true!  There are always discounts and sales on Cratejoy, but I ordered this box for $40.94 ($35 + tax), so this was definitely a great value. All prices are accurate as of May 16, 2021.

Facial Hydration Oil from Cannalogica – $50
I’ve never used any products that contain cannabis, but I’m interested in trying this. It contains less than 0.2% of THC and you’re supposed to use it after your cleanser, toner, and serum.

Wellbeing Ritual Aromatherapy Mini Tin from Scentered – $33
This kit includes five 1.5g little balms: sleep well, de-stress, happy, focus, and escape. Aromatherapy is very underrated in my book. When I’m anxious, I use my essential oil diffuser to help me get to sleep. It will be nice to have these balms for when I’m on the go.

Moxie Clarifying Red Clay Mask from Minimo Skin Essentials – $22
I’m always down to try a new face mask!  This one is supposed to be good for breakout-prone or sensitive skin.

Zesty Morning Hand Sanitizer from Organic Bath Co – $8
I love having extra hand sanitizer when I’m out and about, especially on hikes. This sanitizer is 63% alcohol-based, and it’s a 2oz bottle, so it’s the perfect size to fit into any backpack and small enough to bring on an airplane.

Birthday Cake Body Butter from AMNH Skincare – $20
This body butter looks like frosting and smells like vanilla! I’ve never used any fancy lotion or body butter, so I’m excited to try it.  But in all seriousness, keep this one away from young children because it truly looks good enough to eat!

CBD Mani/Pedi Fizzies from Clearly Balanced Days – $10
This is a 3 pack of baby bath bombs (25mg broad-spectrum hemp extract per fizzy) to treat your hands or feet. I am not a gal who has their nails painted all the time, but if I was, this would be fun for a spa day.

Bubbles + Honey Sugar Scrub from Ginger and  Honey – $17
I don’t treat my skin that much, but I am a fan of salt and sugar scrubs! They exfoliate your skin and leave it so soft and moisturized. I just finished the Himalayan salt scrub I bought for Prime Day last year, so I was happy this box contained this full size 8oz sugar scrub.

In the Heart of Light: Poetry of Awakening by Ashley Lord from Amazon – $18
I’ve never heard of Ashley Lord, but I enjoy both reading and writing poetry. I have so many empty journals, so I’m glad a poetry book was the happiness activity for this month.

TOTAL: $178

The box also comes with a little pamphlet that explains what all the products are. TheraBox has deals with all the companies they work with.  The pamphlet includes extra coupon codes and discounts (usually 10-20% off) to use if you really liked one of the products and wanted to purchase another one.

OVERALL THERABOX REVIEW: 5/5 stars

Overall, I was very pleased with the variety of products and value in this TheraBox! I’m not super big into skincare, so it’s cool to be able to try out a bunch of new products without having to pay for each individual item at full price. I don’t think I will use the mani/pedi fizzies, but I’m excited to try everything else! I’d consider getting this box once every three months to allow myself to use up the products before trying new ones. I think this would make a great gift for girls/women from high school and older, or do what I did and treat yourself to a box!

I was also super impatient and contacted the seller through Cratejoy to make sure my box would ship. The communication was quick and my box was shipped at the end of April as promised!
