What I Eat in a Week (February 2022)

I didn’t decide to make this blog post and document what I eat in a week until after I went grocery shopping, so this is truly realistic and representative of what I’ve been eating lately. This covers last week, 2/07-2/13/22.
Maybe one day I’ll learn how to cook and one of my new year’s resolutions is to try one new recipe a month, but this week, I did not turn on the stove. I work such long hours that I just don’t have the time or energy to make myself a meal, so I meal prep to have a few dinners ready to eat at my desk.

Monday ——————————

Breakfast
Went for a long walk and explored Weho while listening to my friend’s podcast, soul chats. Then, I had breakfast of Greek yogurt topped with strawberries, granola, chia seeds, turmeric, and cinnamon.

Lunch
Used some of the Hasi bread I picked up at the farmer’s market to make little toasts with mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and balsamic vinegar. Then I just had some bell peppers that I cut up over the weekend, carrot sticks, and hummus.

Dinner
I had meal prepped this salad from Love and Lemons but added a few more things! It had strawberries, pear, pecans, mozzarella, tomatoes, chickpeas, basil, and avocado. Topped it with salt and pepper, then olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Dessert
Hi-Chew candies. You either love them or hate them.

Tuesday ——————————

Breakfast
Went for a walk then made avocado toasts with my Hasi bread that was already stale. I topped it with Everything But the Bagel seasoning and Cholula hot sauce.

Lunch
Bell peppers, carrots, hummus, tzatziki spread that is vegan but I didn’t know that when I bought it, pepper jack cheese, crackers. Looks very orange lol.

Dinner
Same salad as the previous night. This is the only meal I forgot to photograph because I scarfed it down before I had to be on camera from 7-9:30pm for the 4A’s IAAS program that I agreed to do for work that is basically the same thing as my senior Advertising Campaigns class at Chapman.

Dessert
Samoas because it’s been a really longgg day.

Wednesday ——————————

Breakfast
Had an 8am mtg and felt a little nauseous so I just drank this kombucha at 9.

Lunch
Ate more Hasi bread. Put some water on it and then microwaved it to make it softer, and it just got soggy, but at least it wasn’t hard as a rock anymore. Put some peanut butter on one piece and the vegan tzatziki on the other because I can’t choose between sweet and savory. I cut up a pear because it was going soft. The food is ugly but the plate is cute so there’s that.

Snack
Peppers and more tzatziki because I ran out of hummus. The dip is like a whipped vegan cream cheese with cucumbers and dill and it’s not my favorite but I’m not going to waste it.

Dinner
Same salad again while working at my desk because I have no work life balance.

Dessert
More Samoas

Thursday ——————————

Breakfast
Went for a little walk. More Greek yogurt, granola, chia seeds, turmeric, cinnamon. Didn’t have berries 🙁

Lunch
Avocado rice cake with Everything But the Bagel seasoning and Cholula. Bell peppers, carrots, and tzatziki and I already know I’m going to need more food later.

Snack
Last piece of Hasi bread with peanut butter. It’s hard to eat a half a loaf by myself!

Dinner
I have no groceries and ran out of salad so I make nachos with tortilla chips, shredded cheese, literally 3 cherry tomatoes I have left, chickpeas because I need some protein in there, half an avocado, and salsa verde.

Dessert
You already know

Friday ——————————

Breakfast
Skipped it. Went grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s right when it opened at 8am, and then went for a little walk and then had a million meetings.

Lunch
Made lunch while listening to one of my back-to-back meetings. Got some blackberries this morning, so that was exciting. Also got some cacao nibs off Amazon. Same Greek yogurt, chia seeds, granola.

Dinner
Took an hour off work to make dinner and call my parents.  I sliced and chopped a bunch of veggies for a massive salad and cut up enough to have for a few more meals. This salad was just anything I had in the fridge/pantry so lettuce, tomatoes, feta, olives, bell peppers, almonds, cucumbers, black beans, and purple onion.

Dessert
Samoas for fuel and then worked on a post report until 11pm.

Saturday ——————————

Breakfast
Skipped it by accident. I was hungry but then got distracted on Facebook Marketplace and picked up a bookshelf from a girl in Beverly Hills and then it was time to meet my co-worker for lunch.

Lunch
Went to Nighthawk Breakfast Bar and got a $14 breakfast sandwich which was delicious! The bacon was perfect, the brioche, the sauce…just wow. I wish we didn’t have to sit at the bar but that’s what you get when you don’t make reservations in LA!

Dinner
Same salad again but this time with mozzarella balls because I ran out of feta. Look at that balsamic glaze yum!

Dessert
I’m actually proud of myself that I’m only limiting myself to two or three Samoas a day, so it’s taking me a good amount of time to get through this box.

Sunday ——————————

Breakfast
An apple with peanut butter. This combo slaps so hard, sometimes I’ll eat it for dessert.

Lunch
Bell peppers, carrots, tzatziki, crackers, and pepper jack cheese. What do normal people eat for lunch??

Dinner/Dessert
I went to my friend’s apartment to watch the Super Bowl and we had a whole spread with burgers, tater tots, pigs in a blanket, chips, Girl Scout cookies, and rootbeer.

Well, there you have it, this is what I eat in a week. All in all, I’m eating pretty healthy Mon-Fri, which I’m pretty proud of.  I haven’t been exercising besides walking, so I haven’t been getting hungry or needing to snack as much. Back when I went to the gym in the morning, I’d usually have breakfast around 8am, snack at 10am, lunch around noon, afternoon snack, and then dinner. I’ll probably document my meals again later this year!
