Pasadena Photo Shoot with Rachel

If I can avoid traffic, I will gladly drive across LA County. Luckily, my friend Rachel is a morning person, so we scheduled a shoot at 9 am on a Sunday morning in Pasadena. It only took me 25 minutes to get to Burlington Arcade, a spot I’d seen on Instagram for a while. It’s modeled after Burlington Arcade in London, with a bright courtyard corridor and a red telephone booth. Not many shops were open, but there was a long line at Mandarin Coffee Stand, so I’ll have to go back for that.

Rachel had gone shopping at Target that morning before the shoot and got some cute clothes. Earlier that week, I sent her a Pinterest board with a bunch of hair bows, so she picked some of those up as well. The Burlington Arcade photos just looked very Christmassy and Rachel’s red skirt and hair ribbon matched the vibe.

Next, we went to Lower Arroyo Park to get photos with the Colorado Street Bridge in the background. However, once we got there, we realized the bridge was pretty far away. We still took some photos on the dirt trails, but then we drove up the street for a better view.

The park we ended up at was Desiderio Neighborhood Park, which was pretty much under the bridge. We shot a cute white set that Rachel brought from her wedding events this past summer. Rachel is a personal trainer and recently competed in some body building shows, so I was excited to do some fitness photos. I love how these turned out with the bridge in the back! @Gymshark, please sponsor us!
