Pacific Palisades Beach Photo Shoot with Cayla

I’ve been photographing Cayla since college, and I’m obsessed with the way our Pacific Palisades photo shoot came out! Earlier this summer, I was running with a friend by the beach and we looked up and saw people on the cliff above us. A quick Google search showed that it was called The Point at the Bluffs. We drove up there and saw the breathtaking view of the beach above, and I’ve been wanting to do a photo shoot ever since.

Cayla met me at my apartment, and then we headed to Pacific Coast Highway. I just told her to bring a few outfits and I also brought her a dress that I wanted to shoot at the beach. We started up at The Point at the Bluffs in the Pacific Palisades. The houses are super nice, and the park is just at the end of a road with easy free street parking nearby. Some people were up there paragliding!

She did an outfit change into this amazing tiered white flowy skirt that fanned out so nicely when she twirled, and we got some fun movement shots. We just walked around and took photos in the neighborhood near where we parked before driving down to the beach.

I wanted to shoot the dress that I brought at sunset, so we had some time to kill. We took photos on the lifeguard tower and the rock jetty then just hung out and talked for a while. I think these photos give the vibes of the song August by Taylor Swift and Cayla just emanates pure joy.

Finally, the sun started to set, and Cayla changed into the final dress. I love the glow that these photos have and how the dress shimmers in the dim light. After we finished, we went to Ghisallo in Ocean Park for some pizza for dinner! This was such a fun photo shoot, and it makes me excited to keep doing more shoots with friends this year.
